Recess Change

Due to ongoing behavior issues involving numerous 5^th grade students, the administration and 5^th grade teachers have decided to suspend afternoon recess indefinitely.  During this 15 minute time frame, 5^th grade classes will remain in their classroom and continue with regular learning.  As a “blue” consequence on Orange Cards, students will now complete an assignment from Mr. Groggel in the evenings a mark is earned.  This will replace the recess detentions which are not feasible due to this change.  While we realize this is not ideal, we are hopeful that students will make better choices following this recess suspension.  Thanks for your support!
